t Aquado, we want you to discover the enjoyment of being in the water, the pride of knowing how to swim well and the benefits of aquatic sports, including swimming and lifeguarding. This is why we devote ourselves every single day to offering you the highest quality service at home that’s both enjoyable and tailored to your needs!
Aquado Swimming School :
Aquado was founded in 2014 after William Seminaro-Valois and Annie Desmarais discovered a need for at-home swimming lessons in their neighborhood. Together, they created a swimming school that offers private at-home swimming lessons for toddlers, children and adults in Greater Montreal area.
After satisfying a large number of swimmers over its first summer, Aquado grew the size of its team in 2015 in order to meet the needs of swimmers and families in twenty-some neighborhoods throughout North Shore and South Shore.
Then in 2016, the team grew once again and welcomed fourteen swim instructors who would give nearly 5,000 swimming lessons to over 500 children in 45 different neighborhoods throughout Greater Montreal! The number of swim instructors and swimmers in our team is constantly growing, and it’s for this reason that we will be even more active in 2017!
Our swim school has a simple goal: Make swimming lessons more accessible, practical and enjoyable for both children and adults!
ith our at-home service and team of some of Quebec’s best swim instructors, all swimmers will have a memorable experience and notice incredible progress in their own swimming pool, whether they are beginner or advanced swimmers.
We also hope, with time, to build a community by training our swimmers to become master-swimmers themselves. It is our belief that young people who take lessons for several years and enjoy this sport are the ones who are in the best position to offer at-home swimming lessons. This allows us to create a cycle of swimming experience and a close-knit team of instructors!
The mission of
Aquado is to
Unleash the greatness of the swimmer by rewarding each and every effort.
Not a single toe in the water without a safe and secure environment.
Adapt to every swimmer
Never assume that one teaching approach fits all. Every swimmer has their own learning path and their own needs.
Learning must be fun, not mandatory. Every lesson needs a laugh!
Be more than an instructor
Inspire. Lead by example. Do more than just teaching swimming or lifeguarding!
Take care of our lovely planet
Thinking about Planet Earth every step of the way!
Did you know that…
Since 2010 in Quebec, a new regulation governs residential swimming pools. Access control and the construction of enclosures are now mandatory to protect young children from the dangers of water. In fact, if you do not meet the security criteria, you are liable to a fine of $500!
